What is “Spike” about?
“Following the explosive events of last season, the world of the incomparable Lacey McCullough (Maryam Basir) has spiraled downward,” reads the Lace Season 2 synopsis. “This season, Lacey’s enemies finally close in, culminating in a full-scale FBI investigation that puts the future of Lacey and McCullough & Associates on the line. Lacey’s right-hand man and staunch confidante has left the company for good… and disappeared without a trace.
“And after exhausting all avenues of appeal, Lacey is determined to get her mother out of jail, but with the company in turmoil she needs to figure out who to trust and who not. At the same time, her personal relationship is collapsing and she is in danger of losing custody of her daughter. Although this prolific lawyer is known for getting things done… by any means necessary for her wealthy and powerful clientele, will she be able to work her magic when her own life is at stake?”
