Better. follows four veterans, each from a different background and service experience, as they undergo the most clinically effective, evidence-based trauma psychotherapies for PTSD,” reads the documentary’s synopsis former presidential candidate Jason Kander, who shocked many when he left the Kansas City mayoral race to seek treatment in 2018; a Vietnam War veteran who is still haunted by the events that happened over 50 years ago; and the voices of so often overlooked female veterans, all searching for the keys to unlocking their places of hurt and pain.”
