“After a nervous breakdown, social anxiety, and OCD, Nora (Sara Friedman) returns to Maine to live with her emotionally distant parents (Sarah Clarke and Xander Berkeley). While undergoing court-ordered psychiatric treatment, Nora’s world turns upside down even more when she’s assigned to volunteer at a local state park,” reads the trailer synopsis for Heightened. “Her unpleasant task actually turns out to be a promising one when her anxiety eases in the company of her new boss, Dusty (Dave Register), who is struggling with crippling problems of his own. Maybe Nora and Dusty can help each other overcome the obstacles their socially complicated world throws at them.”
