What is Elio about?
Elio is an misfit child who is taken aboard an alien spaceship and transported to the commununiverse. Here he is considered the leader of the earth. While not too much is shown in the trailer, the aliens will expect Elio to show them the benefits of the planet.
Elio will star Jameela Jamil, Brad Garrett, America Ferrera and Yonas Kibreab and will hit theaters on March 1, 2024. The film will be Pixar’s next film after Elemental – which opens this week – and the second film Pixar has planned for 2024, with Inside Out 2 also slated for release on June 14, 2024.

“The original feature film introduces Elio, a misfit with an active imagination who is accidentally beamed into the Commununiverse, an interplanetary organization with representatives from galaxies far and wide,” reads the film’s official synopsis. “Elio is misidentified as Earth’s ambassador to the rest of the universe and is completely unprepared for this kind of pressure. He must form new bonds with eccentric alien life forms, endure a series of daunting trials, and somehow discover who he is meant to be.”
