In addition to directing, Cooper also took on the lead role in the project, along with longtime friend Will Arnett, who co-wrote the first draft of the screenplay with Mark Chappell.

Further details about the plot and the characters are still being kept secret. Is that thing on? is produced by Cooper for Lea Pictures, Arnett and Kris Thykier, with John Bishop serving as executive producer.

Bradley Cooper and Will Arnett’s upcoming projects

Cooper recently reprized his role as Rocket in Marvel Studios’ Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. It’s unclear if he still plans to voice his fan-favorite characters in future Marvel Cinematic Universe projects.

Ahead of directing Is This Thing On?, the actor and filmmaker is currently working on the post-production of his upcoming Netflix biopic drama titled Maestro, in which he will star as award-winning composer and conductor Leonard Bernstein. This is his sequel to the 2018 remake of A Star Is Born, which was his feature film debut as a director.

As for Arnett, the Emmy nominee is next set to star in Taika Waititi’s sports drama Next Goal Wins, which follows a soccer team from American Samoa. He will also be lending his voice to Peacock’s upcoming series adaptation of the video game Twisted Metal.
