The finale of Secret Invasion and The Wonderful World of Mickey Mouse: Steamboat Silly are headlining Disney Plus schedule for July 24-30.
On Wednesday, July 26, fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe will finally find out if Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) can save Earth from the Skrull invasion when the Secret Invasion finale premieres on Disney’s own streamer. The plot will reach its climax with the sixth episode. The series stars Ben Mendelsohn as Talos, Emilia Clarke as G’iah, Cobie Smulders as Maria Hill, Olivia Colman as Special Agent Sonya, Don Cheadle as James Rhodes aka War Machine, Dermot Mulroney as President Ritson, Kingsley Ben-Adir as the villainous Skrull leader Gravik, and Martin Freeman as Everett K. Ross.
Secret Invasion is Executive Produced by Kyle Bradstreet. It will be directed by “Let Him Go” director Thomas Bezucha and Ali Selim. The series is based on the comic series by Brian Michael Bendis, Leinil Francis Yu, Mark Morales and Laura Martin.
On Friday, July 28th, the streamer will release Steamboat Silly as part of the Disney 100th Anniversary celebrations. After reuniting with his old friend Steamboat Willie, Mickey Mouse must stop multiple versions of Mickey from wreaking havoc on the town. The episode pays homage to the legendary 1928 animated short “Steamboat Willie,” which marked Mickey Mouse’s debut and introduced him to audiences around the world as a beloved character. The voice cast includes Chris Diamantopoulos as Mickey Mouse, Kaitlyn Robrock as Minnie Mouse, Tony Anselmo as Donald Duck, Tress MacNeille as Daisy Duck, and Bill Farmer as Goofy and Pluto.
