The third film in the Deadpool series, starring Ryan Reynolds, will be the first to be set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The MCU has only made PG-13 movies so far, while the Deadpool movies have been rated R for their language, violence, and sexual content. Since this is the first time a Deadpool movie has been set in Disney’s relatively clean MCU, some might be wondering if the movie will feel any different than 20th Century Fox’s hard-hitting R movies.
Soni, who portrays Deadpool’s cab driver in the first two films, narrated it ComicBook.com“I’ve started work on it so I can say it’s the same as the other two.” It’s like a hard R. There’s a lot of that. So it doesn’t feel any different. The only thing that’s different for me is that this time I didn’t get the script. We got the other two, it’s a big difference for me at least, the MCU part and the Fox/Marvel part. You are so strict. So I only got glimpses of what concerns me.”
Soni recently portrayed Pavitr Prabhakar/Spider-Man India in another Marvel project, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.
