Social media has been booming since Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg agreed to a fight. Accordingly ufc President Dana White has already spoken to the couple about a potential match.
Both Zuckerberg and Musk are serious about the fight
Speak with TMZ Live On Thursday, White said he communicated with both Zuckerberg and Musk. Both are seriously interested in competing in the ring.
“I spoke to Mark and Elon last night and found that they are both dead serious about this,” White said.
Things started on Twitter this week when Musk responded to a tweet that Zuckerberg was in the process of building a social media page similar to Twitter. musk jokingly remarked that it was him “Ready for a cage fight” if Zuckerberg were.
The situation escalated when Zuckerberg later responded with an Instagram story. He shared Musk’s tweet about it with the caption “Send me location,” suggesting he was ready to fight. Musk too confirmed he would be willing to participate on Twitterleading many to question whether the couple actually wants to fight or are just joking.
If the pair were serious, it would easily be the most-watched fight of all time, according to White.
“The greatest fight of all time was Floyd and Conor, I just think he’s triple that – he triples what that did, there’s no limit to what that thing can do,” White said, adding, that the cost of a possible UFC pay-per-view would cost $100 per person – a slight increase from the normal price of $80.
As for the two billionaires, Zuckerberg has been training; He has even competed in some Jiu-Jitsu competitions. While Musk appears to have no combat experience, White said Elon told him he was involved in “a lot of fights growing up in South Africa.”
