Cillian Murphy stars as J. Robert Oppenheimer in Nolan’s upcoming historical thriller. This movie told “The story of American scientist J. Robert Oppenheimer and his role in the development of the atomic bomb.” It is one of the most anticipated films of the year from the director of The Dark Knight, Inception and Interstellar.
The director recently announced a story of his daughter Flora visiting the Oppenheimer set during her spring break from college. He then asked Flora to fill the vacant role of a woman whose face is burned in a vision. “We needed someone to take on that small part of a more experimental and spontaneous sequence,” says Christopher Nolan, “so it was wonderful to have them help with that.”
“The point is that when you create ultimate destructive power, it will also destroy those close and dear to you,” Nolan continues. “So I guess that was my way of saying that in the most poignant way for me.”
Did Japan ban Oppenheimer?
No, Japan hasn’t banned Oppenheimer yet. Due to the historical subject of the film around the atomic bomb, it is not yet known whether this will be the case.
