What did Chris Pratt say about Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 1? 3s version of Gamora?
In an interview on Marvel’s own websitePratt described Gamora’s story as “one of the most interesting storylines in the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe”. The lead actor noted that the character’s storyline “is going to really turn people upside down.”
“It’s one of the best written characters I’ve ever seen, and I love the arc that she takes in this third installment,” said Pratt. “It will really turn people upside down and exceed their expectations of how to end a trilogy with two people who have been in love before.”
Viewers may recall that the Gamora in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is different from the character from previous Guardians of the Galaxy films. In Avengers: Infinity War, the original Gamora was killed by Thanos; A Gamora from another timeline then entered the battle of Avengers: Endgame. This new Gamora – who was never part of the Guardians of the Galaxy – is the one starring in the latest Marvel Studios film.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 was again written and directed by James Gunn. MCU veterans Chris Pratt, Zoe SaldaƱa, Dave Bautista, Sean Gunn, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, Bradley Cooper and Vin Diesel return to reprise their respective roles as Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax, Kraglin, Nebula, Mantis, Rocket and to repeat Groot. Bodies Bodies Bodies star Maria Bakalova stars as Cosmo the Spacedog.
The sequel also introduces franchise newcomers Will Poulter and Chukwudi Iwuji, who play the roles of Adam Warlock and the High Evolutionary.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is in theaters now.
