After Sony’s hit, star-studded action thriller, all eyes are now on Bullet Train 2. Fans want David Leitch’s next film in the fast lane. But does the sequel have an official release date?

Here’s everything we know so far.

Is there a release date for Bullet Train 2?

Bullet Train 2 could arrive in mid-2025 or 2026.

Sony hasn’t announced an official sequel yet. But given the money the original brought in at the box office — and the popularity it garnered on Netflix — another movie seems inevitable.

According to a rumor by Huge fucking robotSony is developing a sequel to Bullet Train. Brad Pitt and Sandra Bullock will return as the hapless courier Ladybug and his handler, Maria Beetle, respectively. They may be joined by the star of this year’s Barbie series, Margot Robbie.

David Leitch is currently engaged to Ryan Gosling The Fall Guy, which will be released on March 1, 2024. After that, he’s expected to return for the film, which could be out in mid-2025, similar to the original Bullet Train’s August 2022 release window. If not, we can expect the sequel in 2026.

Previous rumors also suggested that before a direct sequel to Bullet Train, we could get a prequel based on Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Bryan Tyree-Henry’s Tangerine and Lemon. This means that the direct sequel could be pushed forward as a spin-off Lemon and Tangerine.

Where will Bullet Train 2 appear?

Bullet Train 2 is expected to hit theaters in mid-2025 or 2026.
