A new Netflix video Avatar: The Last Airbender. was released during today’s Tudum event, previewing the live-action series.

Who is making the live-action series Avatar: The Last Airbender?
The live-action series is created by Sleepy Hollow’s Albert Kim, who serves as showrunner, writer and executive producer. In his personal letter to fans, Kim continued to emphasize the importance of authenticity and representation, as well as the project’s great responsibility to deliver a story that emphasizes Asian and indigenous characters.
Based on the popular Nickelodeon animated series, Avatar: The Last Airbender is starred by Filipino-Canadian actor Gordon Cormier (The Stand) as Aang, Kiawentiio (Anne with an E) as Katara, Ian Ousley (Physical) as Sokka, and Dallas Liu (PEN15 ) as Zuko. They are joined by Daniel Dae Kim as Fire Lord Ozai, Paul Sun-Hyung Lee as Uncle Iroh, Lim Kay Siu as Gyatso, and Ken Leung as Commander Zhao.
The Netflix series The Avatar: The Last Airbender is executive produced by Dan Lin and Lindsey Liberatore. It will be directed by Michael Goi, Roseanne Liang and Jabba Raisaini, with Goi and Liang also serving as executive producers.
