Focus Features lost three asteroid city Excerpts from Wes Anderson’s upcoming romantic comedy-drama, which is slated to premiere June 16 in select theaters. The full release will follow on June 23rd.
The first two videos both preview Scarlett Johansson’s character, a famous actress with a daughter. A third film offers a glimpse into the characters of Tom Hanks, Liev Schreiber and Hope Davis as they discuss the military’s plans for them.

Who is Asteroid City about?
“It tells the story of a fictional American desert town circa 1955 and its Junior Stargazer Convention that brings together students and parents from across the country for science competitions, rest/recreation, comedy, drama, romance and more,” the statement said official summary.
Asteroid City was written and directed by Wes Anderson. The ensemble cast includes longtime Wes Anderson collaborators Adrien Brody, Tilda Swinton, Bill Murray, Jason Schwartzman, Bryan Cranston, Jeffrey Wright, Liev Schreiber, Tony Revolori, Jeff Goldblum and Jack Ryan.
The cast of Asteroid City will also include some new high-profile collaborators including Tom Hanks, Margot Robbie, Scarlett Johansson, Hong Chau, Maya Hawke, Sophia Lillis and more. The project is produced by Jeremy Dawson and Steven Rales.
