The official release date for “Max” is imminent And just like that Season 2 has finally been announced after more than a year since the completion of the first 10-episode part. The “Sex and the City” sequel is set to return on Thursday, June 22nd – exclusively on Max.

Who is involved in Just Like That Season 2?

“The new chapter of the groundbreaking HBO series follows Carrie, Miranda and Charlotte as they journey from the complicated reality of life and friendship in their 30s to the even more complicated reality of life and friendship in their 50s,” reads the log line.

And just like that Writer, Director and Executive Producer is Michael Patrick King. Executive producers Parker, Davis, Nixon, Julie Rottenberg, Elisa Zuritsky and John Melfi. The series will see the return of Sex and the City veterans Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis, who will also serve as executive producers.

They will be joined by series regulars Sara Ramírez, Sarita Choudhury, Nicole Ari Parker, Karen Pittman, Mario Cantone, David Eigenberg, Evan Handler, Christopher Jackson, Niall Cunningham, Cathy Ang and Alexa Swinton. In season 2, franchise alum John Corbett returns as he reprises his role as Aidan Shaw. Grammy winner Sam Smith will also have a guest appearance in the new episode.

The original series “Sex and the City” was filmed and filmed in New York City. The HBO series has been nominated for over 50 Emmy Awards and won seven. 94 episodes were aired over six seasons. It premiered on June 6, 1998 and ended on February 22, 2004. It was followed by a 2008 Sex and the City film, followed by 2010’s Sex and the City 2; both were box office hits. A third film was in development in 2016 but was ultimately canceled, allegedly because co-star Kim Cattrall was unwilling to reprise the role of Samantha.
