What is All the Light We Cannot See about?

“A groundbreaking limited series that tells the story of Marie-Laure, a blind French girl, and her father Daniel LeBlanc as they flee German-occupied Paris with a legendary diamond to prevent it falling into Nazi hands . Relentlessly pursued by a cruel Gestapo officer who wants to usurp the stone for his own ends, Marie-Laure and Daniel soon find refuge in St. Malo, where they settle with a reclusive uncle who works as part of the secret service clandestine radio broadcasts broadcast resistance,” the summary reads.

“But here in this once idyllic seaside town, Marie-Laure’s path also inevitably collides with the most unlikely of soulmates: Werner, a brilliant teenager hired by the Hitler regime to track down illegal broadcasts who instead has a secret connection to Marie-Laure as well as their belief in humanity and the possibility of hope.”
