AJ Mendezknown for appearing in WWE as AJ Lee, fights with cm punk in a new clip by heels Season 2. In the upcoming installment of the Starz wrestling drama, Mendez joins the cast as Elle Dorado. Punk, who previously starred as Ricky Rabies in Heels season 1, will reprise his role.
In the new Heels Season 2 video, which premieres July 28, Elle and Ricky practice a little in the ring. This allows Elle to perform some very familiar moves, including Mendez’s signature Black Widow finisher.

“Season two begins after a spectacular performance at the South Georgia State Fair and the popularity of the Duffy Wrestling League suddenly soars,” reads the logline. “Hoping to capitalize on the opportunity, Jack and his colleagues are preparing for a potential deal with a new streaming service that could propel them onto the national stage. But the past and its tragedies threaten to mess things up when Ace leaves Duffy and the Dome in his rear view while Florida Wrestling’s vengeful frontman Gully calls Dystopia.
The cast includes Stephen Amell, Alexander Ludwig, Alison Luff, Mary McCormack, Kelli Berglund, Allen Maldonado, two-time Super Bowl Champion James Harrison, Mike O’Malley, Trey Tucker, Robby Ramos, Alice Barrett Mitchell, Roxton Garcia and David James Elliott.
Guest actors include Punk and Mendez, who have been married since 2014, as well as Josh Segarra (“The Other Two”) and Emmy Raver-Lampman (“The Umbrella Academy”).
“Heels” is being created by Michael Waldron, with showrunner Mike O’Malley. Executive Producers are Waldron, O’Malley, Peter Segal, LBI Entertainment’s Julie Yorn, Christopher Donnelly and Patrick Walmsley. The show is produced by Lionsgate TV for Starz in association with Paramount Television Studios.
