Accordingly One Take NewsStar Wars veteran Temuera Morrison is reportedly joining the ranks Ahsoka cast from Lucasfilm’s latest Disney+ series, starring Rosario Dawson as the eponymous ex-Jedi fan favorite.
Should his addition to the Ahsoka cast be officially announced, Morrison would finally play the live-action version of Star Wars: The Clone Wars character Captain Rex, voiced by Dee Bradley Baker. He is one of the few clones able to resist the infamous Order 66 after Ahsoka removed his Inhibitor chip. In addition to The Clone Wars, Captain Rex has also appeared in other animated series, including Rebels and The Bad Batch.
“Set after the fall of the Empire, Ahsoka follows former Jedi Knight Ahsoka Tano as she investigates an emerging threat to an endangered galaxy,” reads the Star Wars show’s official description.
Ahsoka was written by Dave Filoni, who serves as executive producer along with Jon Favreau and Kathleen Kennedy. Following her live-action debut in The Mandalorian, Rosario Dawson reprises her role as the eponymous Jedi.

The series also stars Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Hera Syndulla, Eman Esfandi as Ezra Bridger, Ivanna Sakhno as Shin Hati, Ray Stevenson as Baylan Skoll and Wes Chatham, and Obi-Wan Kenobi star Hayden Christensen as Anakin to see his Skywalker and Andor actress Genevieve O’Reilly. It has also been confirmed that Lars Mikkelsen, who voiced Thrawn in the Star Wars Rebel animated series, has joined the series to portray fan-favorite villain in live action.
Ahsoka is set to debut exclusively on Disney+ in August 2023.
