When will A Thousand and One stream on Peacock?
The Focus Features drama, directed by Teyana Taylor, will be available to stream later this week. The release date of A Thousand and One Peacock is set for Friday May 19th.
“The film follows the uncompromising and free-spirited Inez as she kidnaps her six-year-old son, Terry, from the foster care system,” reads the synopsis. “Keeping their secret and each other, mother and son set out to reclaim their sense of home, identity, and stability in a rapidly changing New York City.”
thousand and one was written and directed by AV Rockwell. Taylor will be joined by Will Catlett, Josiah Cross, Aven Courtney and Aaron Kingsley Adetola. The film is being produced by Eddie Vaisman, Julia Lededev, Lena Waithe, Rishi Rajani and Brad Weston, with Oren Moverman and Jamin O’Brien serving as executive producers.
The film had its world premiere earlier this year at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival, where it won the Grand Jury Prize.
