Two major Adult Swim animated series will be leaving HBO Max in just a few days, meaning fans won’t have much time to enjoy them before they’re gone.
Which Adult Swim Shows Are Leaving HBO Max?
The streamer’s Last Chance Section. featuring Metalocalypse and Space Ghost Coast to Coast – two popular Adult Swim animated comedies. Metalocalypse is expected to be retired on May 21st, while Space Ghost Coast to Coast will be removed on May 22nd.
Originally released in 2006, Metalocalypse was one of Adult Swim’s earlier original programming creations and ran for four seasons. The show featured the adventures of larger than life metal band Dethklok and their many wild adventures. It received critical acclaim from both critics and fans alike, and led to an actual tour by the “band” in the late 2000s. A film and tour based around the series were recently announced.
First released in 1994, Space Ghost Coast to Coast was one of Cartoon Network’s first original series. Combining animated characters with footage of live-action guests, the series is a comedic take on Hanna-Barbera superhero Space Ghost’s late-night talk shows. The series later spawned many spin-offs, including The Brak Show and Aqua Teen Hunger Force.
